Based on your response, you may or may not have sufficient work credits on your work record to be eligible for Social Security Disability Insurance.
As a person works and pays taxes, part of their taxes goes into Social Security. To be eligible for SSDI benefits, a taxpayer must prove that their disability began prior to their date of last insurance.
You are encouraged to call 1-800 772-1213 and ask a representative from Social Security "when is my date of last insurance?" Please be sure to record the date that you are given. If the date you are provided is current, please return to our SSDI quiz or give our office a call for a free claim assessment.
Note: If you are not eligible for SSDI benefits, you may still qualify for disability benefits under Supplemental Security Income ("SSI"). Click here to learn more about SSI.
